The short version
We are a bakery, not a data business. We do not sell your personal information. Our website uses Google and Meta tools to understand how people find us and whether our advertising works. Calls to the number on our website are recorded, and you are told so at the start of the call. When you place an order you leave our site for Toast, Uber Eats or DoorDash, and their policies apply there. We never see your card details.
1. Who we are
Cake Joy operates a bakery inside Miami International Mall at 1455 NW 107th Avenue, Suite 728, Miami, Florida 33172, and the website at cakejoy.com. In this policy, “we,” “us” and “our” mean Cake Joy.
2. What this policy covers
This policy covers cakejoy.com.
It does not cover the ordering platforms we link to. When you tap through to Uber Eats or DoorDash, or order ahead for pickup through Toast, you leave our website and that company’s privacy policy governs what happens next. Payment is handled entirely by them.
3. Information we collect

If you call or email, we receive whatever you choose to share: your name, phone number, email address, and the contents of your message.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, ours records technical details when you visit: your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, how long you stay, the website or advertisement that referred you, and an approximate location based on your IP address, usually no more precise than the city. We also record certain actions, such as opening the order menu, tapping through to a delivery partner, or tapping our phone number.
What we do not collect
We do not take payments on cakejoy.com, so we never receive your card or bank details through this site. We do not ask you to create an account. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
4. Cookies and similar technologies
Our site uses cookies and similar technologies, deployed through Google Tag Manager:
- Google Analytics — how many people visit, which pages they read, and which of our three languages they use.
- Google Ads — whether an advertisement led to a visit or an order, and to show you relevant ads afterwards.
- Meta Pixel — the same, for advertising on Facebook and Instagram.
These tools may set cookies in your browser and share the information described in section 3 with Google and Meta, who act as our service providers and also handle it under their own privacy policies.
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Direct opt-outs are listed in section 8.
5. Phone calls and call recording
The phone number shown on our website is a tracking number that rings straight through to the bakery. We use it to learn which marketing brings in calls.
Calls to this number are recorded. We record them to take orders accurately, to train our team, and to understand which advertising leads to real orders. You will be told that the call is being recorded at the start of the call. If you would prefer not to be recorded, you are welcome to visit us at the bakery or write to support@cakejoy.com instead.
We also keep a record of the date, the time, the number you called from, and how long we spoke.
Recordings are stored in our customer management system. They are available only to Cake Joy staff and to the marketing agency that manages our advertising, and they are deleted once we no longer need them. You may ask for a copy of a recording of your own call, or ask us to delete it, by emailing support@cakejoy.com.

- To measure and improve our advertising, including which channels bring customers to the bakery
- To protect the site against fraud and abuse
- To comply with the law
7. Who we share it with
- Service providers who run parts of our business: Google, Meta, Toast, our website host, and the marketing agency that manages our advertising.
- Ordering platforms, but only when you choose to go to them.
- Authorities, when the law requires it.
We do not sell your personal information.
8. Your choices
- Cookies — block or delete them in your browser settings.
- Google Analytics — install Google’s opt-out browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
- Google advertising — adjust your settings at myadcenter.google.com.
- Meta advertising — adjust your settings at facebook.com/adpreferences.
- Calls and emails from us — tell us and we will stop.
- Access or deletion — email support@cakejoy.com and we will respond within 30 days.
9. How long we keep information
Website analytics are retained by Google and Meta under their own retention settings, generally no longer than 14 months for detailed records. Emails, call records and order-related messages are kept only as long as we need them for the purposes above, and then deleted.
10. Children’s privacy
Our website is for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.
11. Links to other websites
Our website links to Uber Eats, DoorDash, Toast, Instagram, TikTok and Google Maps. We do not control those websites and are not responsible for their privacy practices.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page, and we will note any material change here.
